Test Realm is back!

The Test realm opened up sometime yesterday... while I was away on vacation. Typical. :P. Here is what is expected on Wizard101 for this coming big update:

1) The opening set of quests to Celestia has been released! If you have completed the "Final Countdown" quest in Dragonspyre... then head over to Halston Balestrom to begin. Unfortunately the bump back in levels and progress has caused me to not be able to do this quite yet :(

2) Crafting has come to GH (Grizzleheim)! He advertises a fine array of recipes... including one for a GH house! :)

3) More house privacy options have been added. Here it is, straight from the cat's mouth:
"There are now privacy options to only allow your Friends (but not their friends) to teleport to your home. Look for this in the Privacy Tab when you press ESC in the game."
"The owner of a house can send guests away with the "Send Away" option. Just click on a Wizard in your Home and the Friends panel will appear, where you will see the option to "Send Away". The Wizard that was sent away will receive the message "The owner asked you to leave.""

4) GH crowns housing is out.

5) A few pet updates have come around. First, the pet hatching cost will be lots less. Second, now both parties must agree to the deduction of coins in the pet hatching. Third, All level 48 pets will now will always get the Power pip talent manifest. Finally, Life pet Earthwalker now gives a Life boost, not a Myth one as before.

6) Dragonspyre is being made easier! Less health, fewer things to collect and defeat for quests, things like that.

There are many many others, so if you want to read them all, click here. That's it for today!

Not much to report...

Nothing big has happened in a while...

Ravenwood Radio Episode 19 has been moved to the 19th, and Leesha should have her recording from KingsIsle's Studio. They had a contest where you could submit a question for Leesha to ask KI, and you could have won a gobbler pet.

I've made progress in Dragonspyre! I really recommend bringing a friend to help you through all the insane MOB battles. They can get very touchy even with the right cards...

I've also had some time to train Sasha, my Seraph pet. She is over 100 EXP and on her way to Epic! So. Slow. :) But it will be worth it!

That's it... Not much. :D

DO YOU SIDE QUESTS!!!!!!!!

No matter how boring, no matter how tedious, no matter how much you want to get to the next area and continue the storyline, DO YOU SIDE QUESTS! I can't tell you how badly I regret not accepting EVERY quest I could get... because now I have to go back and hunt down those quests and its making my DS (Dragonspyre) progress so pitifully slow. I am paying for it especially in Marleybone. This is especially important if you expect to attain GM (Grandmaster, the title for Level 50 wizards, the current level cap). If you do all your side quests and all the main storyline, you will be pretty close to GM when you beat Malistaire.

Poll up!

I've decided to start a semi-weekly poll. You can find it up on the top, and they will last 14 days. The results will be published for the next poll. This poll features the "Advanced Pets" system that was recently released. Personally I believe that they should, and most likely will, expand it even more. Their "millions" of combinations aren't exactly that expansive, and many more pets need to be able to form new and exciting creatures.

Welcome!

Welcome to the Necromancer's Doctrine, a blog dedicated to Wizard 101, a fun and magical game by KingsIsle entertainment. If you want to get started, you can click here and click up the the top right to make your very first wizard! This game will quickly suck you in, and is free for the first bit, but if you want access to the rest of the game, you can subscribe for around $10.00 a month, $6.95 if you suck your family in as well and link up your monthly subscriptions. There is another option which allows you to pay by area by using "Crowns." The game ends up costing you somewhere around $60.00 that way, and you aren't chained to a $10/month kinda deal. More info can be found here if you click around a bit you'll find out all kinds of stuff!
